Marketplace

A marketplace for getting a job done.

Tasquu connects people who need work done with the people who can do it, built for how work is actually found, agreed and paid for in Uganda.

What it is

A marketplace for getting a job done.

Somebody needs a thing done today. Somebody else can do it today. In most of Uganda those two people find each other by asking around, and the asking is the slow part.

Tasquu removes the asking. A job is posted, the people who can do it see it, and the two sides agree terms before anybody travels anywhere.

What running it taught me

A marketplace is a trust problem wearing a technology costume. The hard part was never the listings, it was making both sides confident enough to commit.

It also taught me how much of a small operation is repeated writing: the same job descriptions, the same replies, the same follow ups. That is exactly the work AI absorbs, and it is where the office course starts.
